Athletics: 2007 World Championships in Osaka

The 11th IAAF World Championships commencing tomorrow, August 25th in Osaka will run for weght days until Sunday 2nd Spetember. Fifteen Irish athletes, seven men and wight women have qualified for the Championships. The members of the team are as follows: -

Men

  • David Gillick - 400m
  • Colin GRiffin - 50k walk
  • Robert Heffernan - 20k walk
  • Paul Hession - 200m

Women

  • Fionnuala Britton - 3000m steeplechase
  • Michelle Carey - 400m hurdles
  • Joanne Cuddihy - 400m
  • Mary Cullen - 5000m
  • Olive Loughnane - 20k walk
  • Roisin McGettigan - 3000m steeplechase
  • Eileen O'Keefe - Hammer
  • Derval O'Rourke - 100m hurdles
