Adventure Activity Associates Appointed to Carry Out Research

The Irish Sports Council has recently commissioned an independent adventure quality and safety consultant Adventure Activity Associates, to carry out research into the size and nature of the adventure activities sector in the Republic of Ireland. Adventure Activity Associates are made up of experienced outdoor activity practitioners, who have extensive experience of organisational, quality and safety matters within the adventure activity sector.

Michael Ring, Minister of State for Sport and Tourism "Last year, I asked the Irish Sports Council to examine the issues associated with safety and standards in the adventure activities sector. They have commissioned this research to provide reliable information on the size and scale of the adventure activities sector in the Republic of Ireland and also on the numbers and types of accidents and incidents within the sector."
