This is a lovely looped walk on forest road and path through the Three Rock Wood with wonderful views over Dublin from Three Rock Mountain and Fairy Castle.

The view from Three Rock Hill at the end is great. The Dublin Mountains generally are wonderful. Problem is they're also appealing to the feral natives as stated in other comments, even more hard to reach places than Three Rock seem to be easy enough for scumbags and tossers to access. I would certainly be even more wary of coming here in summer.

Walk was nice but badly sign posted. Nice views.

Really nice walk but a few cars were broken into when I got there, be warned.

Parking at Ticknock I included this loop as part of a day’s walking in the Dublin Mountains, well maintained, easy to follow trails with beautiful views over Dublin. A good variety of forest, open mountain and boardwalk trails. This trail is easily accessible and offers an opportunity for experienced and non experienced walkers to get out and explore the Dublin Mountains. I saw everything from Families, Dog Walkers, Scouts and Trail Runners enjoying the trails together - a great amenity so close to Dublin - will be back!!

Although this is a fabulous walk, leaving your car unattended will cause you unnessesary hardship. We walked from the carpark up to the second reservoir and by the time we got back my car had been broken into. Not one but two windows were broken. Apparently I'm the third to have their car wrecked here. There's a camera on site but its not working and the vandals know this. PEOPLE BEWARE.
