#LetsGetVisible Campaign

The #LetsGetVisible campaign, in partnership with Sporting Pride, was initially launched as part of Dublin Pride Health and Wellbeing Week in June of 2021. The campaign aims to recognise and acknowledge the importance of visibility and representation amongst the LGBTQI+ community, specifically in the sport sector.

Across 2021 and 2022, the campaign consisted of social media awareness content created with the media packs provided by Sport Ireland and Sporting Pride. Along with a professional photographer visiting LGBTQI+ sports clubs around Ireland to photograph athletes and clubs for the campaign. 

In 2023, Sport Ireland and Sporting Pride hosted a first of its kind LGBTI+ inclusion event on the Sport Ireland Campus. This consisted of 2 morning panel discussions, first being the Practitioner panel which gave those involved the opportunity to highlight the work they are doing to support and promote LGBTI+ inclusion in sport. The second panel being an Individual Panel focused on the lived of experience in sport of LGBTI+ people with a profile in Ireland. This was accompanied by an afternoon activity session which took place in the Sport Ireland Campus Indoor Pitch.
